199001815 - C015 THE GEARBOX REMAINS STUCK IN ONE GEAR DURING AUTO OPERATION (Robotized gearbox)

Whilst stopping, the vehicle has changed down to first gear and then has not allowed any gear to be engaged
Test results
1ERRORS IN AUTOMATED GEARBOX CONTROL UNIT CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that there are no errors in the automated gearbox control unit.More specifically:- Brake switch error- Clutch sensor error- Microprocessor 2 error- Even gears engagement error- Odd gears engagement error- Clutch solenoid current error- Gear selection solenoid error- Control unit earths error- Load relay error
NOTE: When the brake switch is in error the recovery considers the brake pedal as being constantly pressed when the the engine is running; this means that only down gear changes can take place in automatic mode
Move on to Step 5One or more errors on the list are present.Move on to Step 2
2CHECKS ON FAULTS ENCOUNTEREDAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the faults, carrying out the    See Test 2127OI WHAT TO DO DEPENDING ON THE ERROR PRESENT IN THE ROBOTIZED GEARBOX CONTROL UNITMove on to Step 3Faults encountered (Brake switch)Restore correct operation.
Fault at the connections (Clutch sensor, Even or uneven gears engagement, Clutch solenoid current, Gear selection solenoid error, Control unit earths error and/or Load relay error)Restore/replace the wiring    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX
The Automated Gearbox has been replaced (Microprocessor 2 error)Move on to Step 4
The active diagnosis of a solenoid is inconclusive and no wiring errors are detected (Even gears or odd gears engagement and/or Clutch solenoid)Move on to Step 3
3AFTER THE ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS ON THE SOLENOIDAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
- If this step has been reached during the active diagnosis of the clutch solenoid, replace it    Op. 2127C56 CLUTCH CONTROL SOLENOID - R.R. and check it is working correctly by carrying out a gear change.- If this step has been reached during the active diagnosis of the engagement solenoid, replace it    Op. 2127C52 ODD AND EVEN GEAR ENGAGEMENT SOLENOIDS - R.R. and check it is working correctly.Move on to Step 4
4REPLACEMENT OF SOLENOIDAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
If no connection / wiring faults are detected and the gear selection solenoid is in error, replace it    Op. 2127C54 GEAR SELECTION SOLENOIDS - R.R. and check it is working correctly.Move on to Step 5
5FLUID LEVEL CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the fluid level, carrying out the    See Test 2127OB FLUID LEVEL CHECKMove on to Step 7Level lower than Max markTop up and move on to Step 6
Level above Max markBring to Max level and move on to step 7
6FLUID LEAKS CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check there are no fluid leaks, carrying out the    See Test 2127OC FLUID LEAKS CHECKMove on to Step 7Fluid leaks detectedRepair/replace the parts involved, top up the fluid with the correct amount.
7FLUID PRESSURE CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the fluid pressure, carrying out    See Test 2127OD FLUID PRESSURE CHECKMove on to Step 10Pressure < 40 barMove on to Step 8
8PRESSURE SENSOR CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the sensor is working properly by carrying out the    See T OIL PRESSURE SENSOR OPERATION CHECKMove on to Step 9Pressure sensor not workingReplace the sensor    Op. 2127E50 HYDRAULIC SELECTION GEARBOX CIRCUIT PRESSURE SENSOR - R.R.
9ELECTRIC PUMP OPERATION CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the electric pump is working properly by carrying out    See Test 2127OE ELECTRIC PUMP OPERATION CHECKMove on to Step 10Voltage less than 11 V.1.Restore correct battery voltage.
It is not possible to shift gears using the lever.Activate the "clutch bleeding" service using the Examiner Plus or Smart to activate the electric pump.
10CHECK THE CLUTCH PLATE SPEED SENSORAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the clutch plate speed signal, carrying out the    See Test 2127OA CHECK ON OPERATION OF CLUTCH DISC SPEED SENSOR THROUGH ROAD TESTMove on to Step 12Problems are encountered at the sensor signal.Move on to Step 11
11CHECK THE CONDITION OF CONNECTIONSAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the condition of the connections and wiring for the clutch plate speed sensor.
Remember that this sensor is located on the gearbox bell-housing near the reversing lights sensor
Move on to Step 12Faults foundRestore/replace the part that is not working.
12REPLACEMENT OF THE CLUTCH PLATE SPEED SENSORAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Replace the clutch plate speed sensor    Op. 2127E52 HYDRAULIC SELECTION GEARBOX INPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR - R.R. Move on to Step 13
13CORRECT OPERATION CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the fault is no longer present.End of diagnosisThe fault persistsContact technical service for further information on the problem.
