199001817 - C022 THE GEARBOX IS STUCK IN A SPECIFIC GEAR (Robotized gearbox)

The vehicle stays with the gearbox locked in neutral, the vehicle engages several gears and then locks, the gearbox locks after trying to engage the reverse gear
Preliminary check: It is advisable to carry out a preliminary check on the battery voltage (the voltage should not be lower than 11 V).
Test results
1ERRORS IN CONTROL UNIT CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that there are no errors in the control unit. More specifically:- Clutch sensor error- Microprocessor 2 error- Even gears engagement error- Odd gears engagement error- Clutch solenoid current error- Selection solenoid error- Engagement sensor error (keeps the gearbox in neutral only if the engine is off).End of diagnosisOne or more errors on the list are present.Move on to Step 2
2CHECKS ON FAULTS ENCOUNTEREDAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the faults, carrying out    See Test 2127OI WHAT TO DO DEPENDING ON THE ERROR PRESENT IN THE ROBOTIZED GEARBOX CONTROL UNITMove on to Step 3Fault at the connections (Clutch sensor, Even or odd gears engagement, Clutch solenoid current, Electro-magnetic brake error)Restore/replace the wiring    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX
The Automated Gearbox has been replaced (Microprocessor 2 error)Move on to Step 4
The active diagnosis of a solenoid is inconclusive and no wiring errors are detected (Even gears or odd gears engagement and/or Clutch solenoid current)Move on to Step 3
The are no faults at the connections (Engagement sensor)4. Replace the engagement potentiometer and check that the reading for the position is correct by carrying out a series of gear changes.
3CLUTCH / ENGAGEMENT SOLENOID REPLACEMENTAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
- If this step has been reached during the active diagnosis of the clutch solenoid, replace it    Op. 2127C56 CLUTCH CONTROL SOLENOID - R.R. and check it is working correctly by carrying out a gear change.- If this step has been reached during the active diagnosis of the engagement solenoid, replace it    Op. 2127C52 ODD AND EVEN GEAR ENGAGEMENT SOLENOIDS - R.R. and check it is working correctlyMove on to Step 4
4REPLACEMENT OF SENSOR/SOLENOIDAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
- If no connection / wiring faults are detected and the gear selection solenoid is in error, replace it    Op. 2127C54 GEAR SELECTION SOLENOIDS - R.R. and check it is working correctly- If no connection / wiring faults are detected and the gear engagement sensor is in error, replace it    Op. 2127E42 HYDRAULIC SELECTION GEARBOX SHIFT POSITION SENSOR - R.R. and check that the reading for the position is correct by carrying out a series of gear changes.Move on to Step 5
5BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the brake pedal switch is working properly, carrying out    See Test 2127OF BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH CHECKMove on to Step 6The brake pedal switch is not working properly.Check the condition of the connections, wiring and switch. Restore/replace the part that is not working.
6FLUID LEVEL CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the fluid level, carrying out    See Test 2127OB FLUID LEVEL CHECKMove on to Step 10Level lower than Max markTop up and move on to Step 7
Level above Max markBring to Max level and move on to step 8
7FLUID LEAKS CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check there are no fluid leaks, carrying out    See Test 2127OC FLUID LEAKS CHECKMove on to Step 8Fluid leaks detected.Repair/replace the parts involved, top up the fluid.
8FLUID PRESSURE CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the fluid pressure, carrying out    See Test 2127OD FLUID PRESSURE CHECKMove on to Step 11Pressure < 40 barMove on to Step 9
9PRESSURE SENSOR CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the sensor is working properly, carrying out    See T OIL PRESSURE SENSOR OPERATION CHECKMove on to Step 8Pressure sensor not workingReplace the sensor    Op. 2127E50 HYDRAULIC SELECTION GEARBOX CIRCUIT PRESSURE SENSOR - R.R.
10ELECTRIC PUMP OPERATION CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the electric pump is working properly by carrying out    See Test 2127OE ELECTRIC PUMP OPERATION CHECKMove on to Step 10Voltage less than 11 VRestore correct battery voltage.
It is not possible to shift gears using the lever.Activate the "bleed clutch" function from Examiner Plus or Smart to activate the electric pump.
11CLUTCH PLATE SPEED SENSOR CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the clutch plate speed signal, carrying out    See Test 2127OA CHECK ON OPERATION OF CLUTCH DISC SPEED SENSOR THROUGH ROAD TESTMove on to Step 14Problems are encountered at the sensor signal.Move on to Step 12
12CLUTCH PLATE SPEED SENSOR CONDITION OF CONNECTIONS CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the condition of the connections and wiring for the clutch plate speed sensor.
This sensor is located on the gearbox bell-housing near the reversing lights sensor. In some cases, removing the sensor will reveal iron filings deposited on the sensor head.
Move on to Step 13Faults at the connections / wiring.Restore the correct connections / wiring    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX
13CLUTCH SENSOR WIRING LAYOUT CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the condition of the connections, the continuity of the wiring (it is important to pay particular attention to the clutch position sensor wiring layout in the engine compartment: the cable should not be too tight, it must have sufficient clearance)Move on to Step 14A fault is detected.Restore/replace the part that is not working.
14CARRYING OUT SELF-CALIBRATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
With an Examiner Plus or Smart in active diagnosis, launch the Service line fine self-calibration and make sure that it has a positive outcome.Move on to Step 15The self-calibration is inconclusive for the first time.Move on to Step 15
The self-calibration is inconclusive for the second time.Replace the even gears, odd gears engagement solenoids    Op. 2127C52 ODD AND EVEN GEAR ENGAGEMENT SOLENOIDS - R.R. and selection solenoids    Op. 2127C54 GEAR SELECTION SOLENOIDS - R.R.
15CARRYING OUT NEW SELF-CALIBRATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
After replacing the solenoids, carry out a new Service line fine self-calibration with an Examiner Plus or Smart and make sure that it has a positive outcome.End of diagnosisThe self-calibration is not successful.Contact technical service for further information on the problem.
