199004880 - 2127CA CHECKING THE OPERATION OF THE ROBOTIZED GEARBOX SOLENOID (Robotized gearbox)

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
Checking the clutch control solenoid signal- With the Examiner in voltmeter mode set to fsd of 20 V and 2 sec time base- Connect between pin 43 of the gearbox control unit and earth- Turn the key to the MAR position- Press the brake pedal- Press the Examiner "Start" button- Select a gearCheck that the signal corresponds to the graph enclosed.Move on to Step 2
Checking the clutch control solenoid wiringCheck the continuity/insulation of the wiring between the solenoid and the robotized gearbox control unit    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX Restore wiring continuity/insulation
Checking the clutch control solenoid earthCheck the solenoid is correctly earthed    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX Restore the correct earth connection
Checking the clutch control solenoidCheck that the solenoid resistance value is 2.5 Ohm ± 6% at 20°CMove on to Step 5Replace the clutch control solenoid    Op. 2127C56 CLUTCH CONTROL SOLENOID - R.R. If the above checks are Ok, replace the robotized gearbox control unit    Op. 2127E10 HYDRAULIC SPEED SELECTION SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT - R.R.
Check even gears engagement solenoid valve signalConnect the Examiner in voltmeter mode set to fsd of 20 and 2 sec time base between pin 44 of gearbox control unit and earth- Turn the key to the MAR position- Press the brake pedal- Press the Examiner "Start" button- Select an even gear- Check that the signal corresponds to the graph enclosed.Move on to Step 6
Check even gears engagement solenoid valve wiringCheck the continuity/insulation of the wiring between the solenoid and the robotized gearbox control unit    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX Move on to Step 7Restore wiring continuity/insulation.
Check even gears engagement solenoid valve earthCheck the solenoid is correctly earthedMove on to Step 8Restore the correct earth connection.
Check even gears engagement solenoid valveCheck that the solenoid resistance value is 2.5 Ohm ± 6% at 20°CMove on to Step 9Replace even gears engagement solenoid    Op. 2127C52 ODD AND EVEN GEAR ENGAGEMENT SOLENOIDS - R.R. If the above checks are Ok, replace the robotized gearbox control unit    Op. 2127E10 HYDRAULIC SPEED SELECTION SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT - R.R.
Check odd gears engagement solenoid valve signalConnect an Examiner in voltmeter mode between pin 32 of the gearbox control unit and earth- Turn the key to the MAR position- Press the brake pedal- Press the Examiner "Start" button- Select an odd gearCheck that the signal corresponds to the graph enclosedMove on to Step 10
Check odd gears engagement solenoid valve wiringCheck the continuity/insulation of the wiring between the solenoid and the robotized gearbox control unit    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX Move on to Step 11Restore wiring continuity/insulation
Check odd gears engagement solenoid valve earthCheck the solenoid is correctly earthedMove on to Step 12Restore earth connection
Check odd gears engagement solenoid valveCheck that the solenoid resistance value is 2.5 Ohm ± 6% at 20°CReplace odd gears engagement solenoid    Op. 2127C52 ODD AND EVEN GEAR ENGAGEMENT SOLENOIDS - R.R. If the above checks are Ok, replace the robotized gearbox control unit    Op. 2127E10 HYDRAULIC SPEED SELECTION SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT - R.R.
