199002910 - B0118 Incorrect configuration

To apply this procedure, the following must be borne in mind:1 - Measurements cannot be taken on the Air Bag wiring.2 - The system fault diagnosis is started leaving the vehicle charges connected.3- The fault should be "Present" or "Present Intermittently" and not "Intermittent". If the fault is Intermittent then the Procedure is not applicable; proceed with an accurate check on the line where the fault was signalled.4 - Not all the simulation sensors are available (e.g. side impact sensors).
The airbag fault warning light is controlled by a dedicated connection to the airbag control unit Instrument Panel Node.
The Air Bag wiring is a safety component. If there are problems with the cables or the connectors then the wiring should be replaced in one piece.
Test results
1CHECK CONFIGURATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the consistency between the Wiring Configuration parameter and the configuration present on the vehicle. In particular, check that:- with the "Driver + passenger" configuration, the control unt wiring configuration pin is earthed.- with the "Driver" configuration, the control unt wiring configuration pin is NOT earthed.Move on to Step 2The configuration is not consistent with the configuration pin positionReplace the airbag control unit    Op. 5580C14 AIR BAG ECU - R+R
