Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Open the bonnet.    Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R     Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R -Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the brake servo.- Disconnect the bowden cables from the gearbox linkage.1. Use a screwdriver of appropriate length to unscrew the upper starter motor bolt (1a) through opening (b).
- Raise the vehicle.    Op. 1060G70 VACUUM RESEVOIR - R.R 1. Undo both bolts (1a), unscrew nut (1b) and recover bracket (1c).2. Open the protective cover for the starter motor electrical connections.3. Undo the nut.4. Disconnect the electrical connections from the starter motor.

5. Unscrew the lower starter motor bolt.6. Remove the starter motor.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the starter motor is not damaged.- Place the starter motor in position.1. Screw in the lower starter motor bolt and tighten to the recommended torque.

2. Connect the electrical connections (2a) for the starter motor, tighten the nut (2b) and reclose the protective cover (2c).

- Position the crossmember and secure it using the bolts and the nut.    Op. 1060G70 VACUUM RESEVOIR - R.R - Lower the vehicle.1. Tighten the upper starter motor bolt (1a) through opening (1b).
