199002333 - 0510A10 CYLINDER COMPRESSION - CHECK FOR LOOSE SPARK PLUGS OR INJECTORS

- Disconnect the engine management unit electrical connections, refer to    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R - Remove an injector, refer to    Op. 1060F10 FUEL INJECTORS - R.R. - Fit the dummy injector in the socket vacated by the other injector.

- Insert the test equipment into the dummy injector seat.- Turn the engine over several times, using the starter motor, keeping the accelerator and clutch pedals pressed.
Make sure that there are no leaks from the test equipment connector.
- Repeat the test on the remaining cylinders taking care to zero the instrument each time.- Check that there is not a great difference between the pressure readings for the cylinders.- Disconnect the engine management unit electrical connections, refer to    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
