199003046 - 1060GF SUPERCHARGING PRESSURE CHECK

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
Turn the ignition key ON.With the engine off and all appliances off, the measured turbo pressure should be in a range between 0.9 and 1.1 bars and must be equal to the exterior pressure.Under the same conditions, turbo pressure AD/C should be in a range between 1.5 and 2.0 VMove on to Step 3
With the accelerator pedal slightly operated and engine speed equal to 3500 rpm, the measured Turbo pressure should be greater than 1.1 bars.Under the same conditions, turbo pressure AD/C must be greater than 2.0 V.The test can be considered overMove on to Step 3
Turn the ignition key OFF. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the turbo sensor.Turn the ignition key ON.Measure the voltage between sensor Pin 1    See K082 SUPERCHARGING SENSOR and earth. Ensure that it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.Move on to Step 5Move on to Step 4
If faults are present, repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and the sensor    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
Measure the voltage between sensor Pins 1 and 3    See K082 SUPERCHARGING SENSOR Ensure that it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.Move on to Step 4
Check that turbo pressure AD/C is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.Move on to Step 8Move on to Step 7
Check that turbo pressure AD/C is greater than 5.2 V.Move on to Step 4Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and the sensor    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Turn the ignition key OFF.Connect a shunt connection cable with a fuse between Pins 1 and 4 of the sensor    See K082 SUPERCHARGING SENSOR Turn the ignition key ON.Check that turbo pressure AD/C is less than 0.3 V.Move on to Step 4
Check the correct mechanical operation (seals, leaks, blockages, breaks) of the turbocharging circuitRepair or, if necessary, replace the faulty components
Replace the turbo sensor    Op. 1060G16 EXCESS PRESSURE SENSOR - R.R.
