199003047 - 1060GG CHECK MEASURED AIR MASS

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
With the engine idling and warmed up, with the EGR valve closed and accelerator pedal not operated, the measured Air Mass must be in a range between 10 and 22 kg/hMove on to Step 4
With all the appliances off, the measured air mass must be greater than 20 kg/h when the accelerator pedal is operated slightly.Move on to Step 4
When the accelerator pedal is left without operating for at least 70 seconds, the measured air mass must be in a range between 25 and 35 kg/h.The test can be considered overMove on to Step 4
Check the tightening and connections of the oil dipstick and the engine oil filler cap    Op. 0010T11 ENGINE OIL - CHECK LEVEL AND TOP UP, IF NECESSARY Restore the seal and tightness
Check that the seal of the intake/turbo system hoses is efficient (secondary air, blockages and porosity)Check that the pipe restriction bands in the air intake/inlet system are correctly fitted.Check the hoses and connected pipes to identify any obstructions, damage etc.Repair the faulty connections/components
Check that the air filter is not contaminated and is correctly fitted    Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R. Clean or, if necessary, replace the wiring    Op. 1060G10 AIR FLOW METER - R.R.
Check that the exhaust system components are correctly fastenedRepair the faulty connections/components
Check that the EGR valve is working properly by carrying out the    See Test 1080CB EGR SOLENOID OPERATION CHECK
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the air flow meter.Measure the voltage across gauge Pin 2and Earth, checking it is greater than 11 VMove on to Step 16Move on to Step 10
Remove fuse F59 (second from the left on the second row from the bottom) from the engine compartment junction unit and check it has not blown.Move on to Step 14Move on to Step 11
Turn off all the electrical users.Release any gear (neutral)Fit a new fuse F59 and check it does not blow.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine compartment junction unit and the debimeter    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Engage reverse and check tha fuse F59 does not blowReplace the reversing light relay
Replace the debimeter    Op. 1060G10 AIR FLOW METER - R.R. The test can be considered over
Measure the voltage between fuse F59 input contact and earth, checking it is greater than 11 VRestore the correct electrical connections in the engine compartment junction unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT If necessary, replace it    Op. 5505A13 ADDITIONAL JUNCTION UNIT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT - R.R.
Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine compartment junction unit and the debimeter    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The test can be considered over
Measure the voltage between gauge Pins 2 and 3    See K041 AIR FLOW METER checking that it is less than 11 Ohm. Move on to Step 18Move on to Step 17
If faults are present, repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the debimeter and the engine control unit.    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
Measure the voltage across gauge Pin 4    See K041 AIR FLOW METER and the earth, checking that it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 VMove on to Step 17
Replace the debimeter    Op. 1060G10 AIR FLOW METER - R.R. and check the fault has disappearedRepair the original debimeter and replace the engine management control unit.    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
