199002676 - 3340AB SPEED SIGNAL CHECK

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
Carry out a road test and drive the car at a constant speed of 30 km/h.Check that the vehicle speed reading on the diagnostic equipment is more or less the same as the speed shown on the instrument panel. The test can be considered overMove on to Step 2
Check that in the CAN information the ABS control unit is present and there are no faults such as Failed Proxi Alignment, Node not Present or Node not ProgrammedRestore the correct connection/operation of the CAN
Go back to the workshop and turn off the engine.Disconnect the cable loom connector from radio connector ATurn the ignition key ON.Position the vehicle on a two column lift, raise it and turn the left front wheel slowly by hand.Check that the reading on the diagnostic equipment for the vehicle speed is less than 1 km/h.Replace the radio    Op. 5570T80 CAR RADIO EQUIPMENT - R+R
Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from electric steering control unit connector BTurn the ignition key ON.Raise the vehicle and turn the left front wheel slowly by hand.Check that the reading on the diagnostic equipment for the vehicle speed is less than 1 km/h.Replace the electric steering control unitOp. 4110D40 ELECTRIC STEERING CONTROL ECU - R.R.
Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from engine management control unit connector A.Turn the ignition key ON.Set the diagnostic equipment to the voltmeter mode with an alternating voltage reading. Raise the vehicle and turn the left front wheel slowly by hand.Connect a (3 W) test lamp and the multimeter in parallel and check that the alternating voltage between pin 81 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the battery positive is less than 0 5 V.Replace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom from the ABS control unit.Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the alternating voltage between pin 81 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the battery positive is less than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the ABS control unit.    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the resistance between pin 81 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the ABS control unit.    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Check that the resistance between pin 81 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and pin 20 of the control unit    See M050 ABS CONTROL UNIT (REAR)is less than 5 Ohm. Repair or, if necessary, replace the electrical wiring between the engine management control unit and the ABS control unit.    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
Replace the ABS control unit    Op. 3340A20 ABS ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT - R+R
