STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the timing sensor.Turn the ignition key ON.Select the following system on the diagnostic equipment: Marelli Diesel Injection 6F3 EOBD CAN (EP engine 1.3 JTD).Check that error PO651 is "Present"Replace the timing sensor    Op. 1060G22 CAM ANGLE SENSOR - R.R
2Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the accelerator pedal potentiometerTurn the ignition key ON.Check that error PO651 is "Present"Replace the accelerator pedal    Op. 1068A20 ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH BUILT-IN POTENTIOMETER - R.R
3Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from the engine management control unit connector A.Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the resistance across pin 35 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the accelerator pedal potentiometer and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
4Check that the resistance across pin 83 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the accelerator pedal potentiometer and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
5Turn the ignition OFF. Measure the resistance between pin 83 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the accelerator pedal potentiometer and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
6Disconnect the wiring harness connector from engine control unit connector ADisconnect the wiring harness connector from engine control unit connector BTurn the key ON. Check the voltage across control unit Pin 21 (wiring side)    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the timing sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
7Check that the resistance across pin 25 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the timing sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
8Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the resistance between pin 25 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the timing sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
