) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Open the bonnet. Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R 1. Undo the nuts (1a) and release the upper bracket (1b) for the starter motor (1c).2. Undo the upper bolts securing the starter motor.- Raise the vehicle. Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 3. Open the protective cover, undo the nuts and disconnect the electrical connections (3a and 3b) for the starter motor.

1. Unscrew the lower starter motor bolt.2. Remove the starter motor.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Check that the starter motor is not damaged.1. Place the starter motor in position.2. Screw in the lower starter motor bolt and tighten to the recommended torque.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. - Raise the vehicle.2. Tighten the upper bolts (2a) retaining the starter motor, securing bracket (2b).

3. Position the bracket (3a) and secure it using the nuts.
