Removing ( Refitting ) - Open the bonnet.1. Disconnect the negative terminal (1a) from the battery after having loosened it by rotating the cam lever (1b).

Take care whilst opening the lever on account of the release device.

1. Release the retainers (1a) and remove the cover (1b) for the supply box. 1. Loosen the nut for the positive battery terminal.2. Move the supply box to the side. 1. Undo the nut (1a) and move the battery retaining belt (1b).2. Remove the battery. Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the battery is not damaged.- Place the battery in its housing.- Position the retaining belt on the battery and tighten the nut.

1. Position the supply box.2. Fasten the positive battery terminal using the nut.

- Place the supply box cover in position and attach the retainers.1. Make sure that the release/attachment lever is in the opening position.2. Fit the terminal on the battery pole and press it down fully.3. Tighten lever (3a) and check that lead (3b) follows the correct path without setting up tension or having to be forced.

Exert a slight pulling force to check that the terminal is correctly attached.

- Close the bonnet.- Test the operation of the electrical system.
