Removing ( Refitting )

This operation can only be carried out with the power unit removed.

1. Undo the bolts (1a), (1b) and remove the flywheel side oil seal cover (1c).

Cut the sealant between the flywheel side oil cover and the crankcase sump.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Clean any residues of sealant from the mating surface between the flywheel side oil seal cover and the crankcase sump.- Apply silicone sealant to the mating surface of the crankcase sump and the flywheel side oil seal cover.1. Place the flywheel side cover (1a) in its housing and secure it tightening the new bolts (1b) and the bolts (1c) to the recommended torque.

When positioning the flywheel side oil seal cover, avoid significant sideways movements that could remove the sealant.
