Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 7005M14 SWITCH UNIT ON DRIVER'S FRONT DOOR - R.R.    Op. 7040E24 LOWER COURTESY LIGHT IN DOOR PANEL - R+R     Op. 7005E10 FRONT SIDE DOOR INTERIOR PANEL - R.R.     Op. 7005D26 FRONT SIDE DOOR DESCENDING WINDOW GLASS SCRAPER (OUTER) (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT- R.R     Op. 7005D18 FRONT SIDE DOOR DESCENDING WINDOW GLASS CHANNEL (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R 1. Release the retainers (1c) and (1d) in the area of the pillar trim to be replaced (1a) or (1b), then move the weatherstrip (1e).2. Heat the trim (1a) or (1b) being removed using hot air, then remove it.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Use a new pillar trim.1. Clean any residues of adhesive from the area where the pillar trim is fitted using heptane.2. The temperature of the area (2a) where the trim is fitted should be at least 18 °C.The temperature of the trim (2b) to be fitted should be between 30 and 40 °C.3. Stick the pillar trim (2b) starting from one end and gradually removing the film (3b) protecting the adhesive surface.
Do not touch the adhesive surface of the trim with your fingers.
- Help the trim to stick by applying constant gentle manual pressure to prevent air bubbles forming between the trim and the pillar.4. Exert further pressure on the entire surface of the trim and bend it over along the edges (4a) and (4b) of the pillar.
1. Remove the outer film (1a) protecting the pillar trim (1b).To prevent the film (1a) from becoming detached accidentally it should be removed by folding it over until it forms an angle of 180° (as illustrated).
