Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 5010C55 LOWER AIR DIFFUSER (ONE) LH OR RH - R.R (left side).    Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R     Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R - Undo the plug for the brake/clutch fluid reservoir and drain it referring to    Op. 0010T67 HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM - BLEED AIR - Disconnect the clutch pump supply pipe from the brake-clutch fluid reservoir.1.4 16v TJet - 1.3 Multijet - 1.9 Multijet versions1. Lift up the spring (1a) and disconnect vibration damper (1b) from clutch pump (1c).
1.2 8v - 1.4 8v - 1.4 16v versions1. Lift up the clip (1a) and disconnect pipe (1b) from clutch pump (1c).
- Disconnect the electrical connection for the accelerator pedal.

- Disconnect the electrical connection for the brake pedal switch.

- Disconnect the electrical connection for the clutch pedal switch.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the dashboard reinforcement plate (1b).
1. Working at the rear of the brake pedal, press the white retaining tabs (1a) securing the brake servo push rod (1b) to the brake pedal (1c).
1. Remove the black retaining device (1a), then release the brake servo push rod (1b) from the brake pedal (1c) and keep the brake servo push rod spherical head housing cover (1d).
After every dismantling operation, the black retaining device for the brake servo push rod (1a) must be removed even if it appears to be intact.
1. Undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the steering column (1b) from the steering box pinion.
1. Undo the nuts securing the pedal mounting to the brake servo and to the bodyshell.2. Remove the pedal assembly complete with mounting and clutch pump.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Place the pedal assembly in position and secure it to the brake servo and to the bodyshell tightening the nuts to the recommended torque.

1. Fit the new retaining device (1a) on the brake pedal (1b) so that the fastening clips (1c) are secured; position the brake servo push rod spherical head housing cover (1d).
After each dismantling operation, the black coloured retaining device for the brake servo push rod must always be replaced even if it appears to be intact.
- Retract the brake servo slightly, lift up the brake pedal and position the brake servo push rod by the retaining device.- Press the brake pedal to fit the brake servo push rod on the retaining device.- Connect the steering column to the steering box pinion tightening the bolt to the recommended torque.
