199001210 - E2010 SIDE LIGHTS/NUMBER PLATE LIGHT - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

A single signal (earth) is sent from stalk unit H5 to Body Computer M1 to manage both side lights and low beams: from pin 3 of H5 to pin 38 of connector D of M1; the signal sent is coded through various resistance partitions so that multiple information is sent to the Body Computer via a single connection. The reference earth reaches pin 10 of H5 from pin 34 of connector D of M1.IBody Computer M1 - connector G - is supplied directly by the battery from a line protected by maxifuse F2 of engine compartment control unit B1; it is suppiled via the ignition (INT) at pin 32 of connector D; pin 10 of connector H of M1 supplies a reference earth to the Body Computer. The Body Computer M1 controls the supply for the front side lights F10 (left) and F11 (right) from pin 13 of connector C, for the rear side lights F30 (left) and F31 (right) and the number plate lights F50 and F51 from pins 17, 7, 14 of connector C.Via the CAN line, the Body Computer M1 is connected to instrument panel E50 to manage the side lights on warning light and, if faults are detected in the circuit or in the bulbs, the lights failure warning light; in the vent of a fault with the dusk sensor there is a specific signal.
