199001225 - E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS/HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

A single signal (earth) is sent from stalk unit H5 to Body Computer M1 to manage the right and left turn signals: from pin 1 of H5 to pin 51 of connector D of M1; the signal sent is coded through various resistance partitions so that multiple information is sent to the Body Computer via a single connection.Pin 10 of H5 receives a reference earth from pin 34 of connector D of M1.The hazard light activation signal (earth) reaches pin 23 of connector D of M1 from control button in unit H90.The reference earth reaches pin 5 of H5 from pin 49 of connector D of M1.The Body Computer M1 - connector G - is supplied directly from the battery via a line protected by maxifuse F2 of the engine compartment control unit B1; its ignition-controlled supply (INT) is received at pin 2 of connector D; pin 10 of connector H or M1 supplies the Body Computer with a reference earth.Body Computer M1 controls side turn signals F20 (left) and F21 (right) from pins 19 and 20 of connector C - front turn signals F10 (left) and F11 (right) from pins 9 and 1 of connector C -and rear turn signals F30 (left) F31 (right) - from pins 20 and 11 of connector C.The signal (positive) is sent from pin 10 of connector B of M1 to light up the LED in the control button H90 (until 03/07).The Body Computer M1 is connected, via the CAN line, to the instrument panel E50 to manage the "direction indicator" warning lights, the buzzer and, if there is a problem in the circuit, the "lights failure" warning light.
