The braking system is the hydraulic servo-assisted type comprising two independent crossover circuits that allow both sides of the vehicle to brake even if one circuit fails. Each circuit acts on one front wheel and the diagonally opposed rear wheel.All versions are fitted with a 10" brake servo.The vacuum pipe-brake servo connection on petrol versions is located in a siphon area of the intake manifold to prevent petrol vapours passing through.The entire range is equipped with:- ventilated brake discs on the front wheels;- drums on the rear wheels (except for SPORT versions, 1.9 Multijet and 1.4 16v TJet with full discs)- ABS with EBD- ESP fitted as standard on the Sporting specification.The brake callipers are Bosch.
