199002328 - 0010T82 DIESEL SYSTEM - BLEED WATER FROM DIESEL FILTER RESEVOIR

If the presence of water in the fuel filer is revealed on the vehicle display, bleed as soon as possible.
- Turn key on without starting the engine.
This operation pressurises the fuel filter.
- Place a pipe of appropriate length on the bleed tap fitting to allow fluid to be drained off into an appropriate container.- Loosen the bleed plug.
Carry out this action gradually, taking care to check that the amount of fuel expelled is between 75 and 80 cc
- Examine the expelled fluid: if it contains water without evident traces of diesel, repeat the bleeding operation.- If traces of diesel appear, repeating the bleeding operation ensures that the fuel filter does not contain any more water.- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.- Check that no more leaks are present in the upper part of the fuel filter after running the engine for one minute.
