	Check for anomalous contacts between the cushion base and the vehicle body	Move on to Step 2	No soundproof mat beneath base	Restore missing components or add strips of insulating material
2	CHECK SPLIT CUSHION HINGES	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check for anomalous contacts/interference on split cushion hinges	Move on to Step 3	Contac between fixed hinge bolt head and cushion mobile hinge	Replace hinge (or interpose insulating material)
3	CHECK FOR NOISE FROM CUSHION HINGES	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
