Removing ( Refitting )

The catalytic preconverter is only fitted on the version without DPF.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.     Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R 1. Loosen the bolt (1a) and undo the bolts (1b) for the catalytic preconverter mounting bracket (1c). 1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the Lambda sensor.

2. Undo the collar and remove the catalytic preconverter complete with Lambda sensor. - Unscrew and remove the Lambda sensor from the catalytic preconverter. Refitting ( Removing ) - Position the Lambda sensor in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

- Place the catalytic preconverter in its housing and tighten the collar to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the bolts and the bolt for the catalytic preconverter mounting bracket to the recommended torque.
