199001189 - E1010 POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

All electrical systems and circuits are supplied by battery A1.The main supply lines are protected by maxi fuses in the maxi fuse box on the battery B99, in particular:- F2: engine compartment junction unit B1 power supply - connector X;- F3: engine compartment junction unit B45 power supply - connector A;- F7:spark plug preheating control unit power supply M15 JTD engine only);    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT - F7: robotized gearbox pump power supply 1370 8v engine);    See E7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX - F6: electric steering control unit supply M86    See E7045 ELECTRIC STEERING There is an additional fuse box B98, next to the maxi fuse box on the battery on one side of the actual battery, with two MIDI maxi fuses which supply the additional heater.    See E6015 ADDITIONAL HEATEREngine compartment junction unit B1 supplies Body Computer M1 and fuse F2.Power distribution to the vehicle (INT "ignition-operated, INT/A, "AVV", etc) is managed by the Body Computer that is connected to ignition switch H1:- ignition switch H1 is supplied by the Body Computer from pin 48 of connector D of M1 via a line protected by fuse F85;- ignition switch H1 sends ignition-operated signal “15/54” to Body Computer M1 at pin 32 of connector D;- ignition switch H1 sends the ”AVV” signal to Body Computer M1 at pin 31 of connector D; and this in turn supplies the starter motor    See E5010 STARTING AND RECHARING
The ignition-operated power supply except during start-up (INT/A) does not derive from a specific key contact but is deliveredy by the Body Computer control logic by exciting certain specific relays: T5 of the engine compartment control unit and T30 of the boot compartment control unit.
