199001215 - E2011 DIPPED HEADLIGHTS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

A single signal (earth) is sent from stalk unit H5 to Body Computer M1 to manage both side lights and low beams: from pin 3 of H5 to pin 38 of connector D of M1; the signal sent is coded through various resistance partitions so that multiple information is sent to the Body Computer via a single connection. The reference earth reaches pin 10 of H5 from pin 34 of connector D of M1.IBody Computer M1 - connector G - is supplied directly by the battery from a line protected by maxifuse F2 of engine compartment control unit B1; it is suppiled via the ignition (INT) at pin 32 of connector D; pin 10 of connector H of M1 supplies a reference earth to the Body Computer.3The Body Computer M1 controls the supply for the dipped headlamps sending an earth signal to relay T3 in the junction unit in the engine compartment B1 from pin 16 of connector A of M1 which energizes relay T3: this supplies the dipped headlamps F10 (left) and F11 (right). Each circuit is protected by a fuse in the junction unit B1 : F14 for the left headlamp and F15 for the right.
