Removing ( Refitting )
If the DPF is being replaced, when the refitting is complete the following operations must be carried out using the Examiner.
- Position the vehicle on a lift.1. Undo the nuts securing the intermediate exhaust pipe to the DPF.
1. Loosen the bands and disconnect the flexible pipes from the rigid pipes for the DPF differential pressure sensor.
1. Undo the exhaust gas temperature sensor on the DPF and remove it.
1. Loosen the collar (1a) and remove the DPF (1b) complete with gasket.
1. At the bench, undo the connector (1a) and remove the vacuum intake pipe downstream of the DPF (1b).
Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Place the pressure intake pipe downstream of the DPF (1a) in its housing and tighten the connector (1b) to the recommended torque.
