Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.1. Place a hydraulic lift under the rear crossmember by the spring.2. Undo the bolt securing the shock absorber to the suspension crossmember.
- Slowly lower the hydraulic lift until the spring is no longer compressed.- Remove the hydraulic lift.- Lower the vehicle.1. Undo the bolts securing the shock absorber bracket to the bodyshell and remove it.
1. Close the upper bracket (1a) in a vice and, using the tool (1b), undo the nut (1c) and remove the shock absorber (1d).

- Release the dust cover complete with end of travel buffer. Refitting ( Removing )
- Place the dust cover complete with end of travel buffer in its housing.- Place the upper bracket securing the shock absorber to the bodyshell in a vice.- Place the shock absorber stem in position inside the bracket and secure it tightening the nut to the recommended torque using the tool used for the removal for counter-torque.

- Remove the shock absorber assembly from the vice and place it in position in the vehicle.- Tighten the bolts fixing the shock absorber upper bracket o the bodyshell to the recommended torque.

- Raise the vehicle and place a hydraulic lift under the rear crossmember by the spring.- Compress the spring until the shock absorber lower mounting is aligned with the opening in the crossmember.- Fasten the shock absorber to the crossmember tightening the bolt to the recommended torque.
