STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from Body Computer connector ATurn the ignition key ON.Disconnect all the electrical appliances and reverse.Measure the voltage between Pin 1 of the wiring connector (wiring side) of the Body Computer    See M001 BODY COMPUTER and Earth, checking it is less than 0.3 V.Move on to Step 4Move on to Step 2
2Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the reversing light switch.Turn the ignition key ON.Measure the voltage between Pin 1 of the wiring connector (wiring side) of the Body Computer    See M001 BODY COMPUTER and Earth, checking it is greater than 0.3 VReplace the reversing switch    Op. 5550D22 REVERSING LIGHT SWITCH - R+R
3Repair or replace the electrical wiring between the reversing switch, reversing light and Body Computer    See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS The test can be considered over
4Engage reverse gear.Measure the voltage between Pin 1 of the wiring connector (wiring side) of the Body Computer    See M001 BODY COMPUTER and Earth, checking it is less than 11 VReplace Body Computer    Op. 5505A32 BODY COMPUTER - R.R
5Turn the ignition key OFF.Remove fuse F59 (second from the left on the second row from the bottom) in the engine compartment junction unit and check it has not blown.Move on to Step 7Move on to Step 6
6Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the reversing light switch.Turn the ignition key ON.Fit a new fuse F59 and check it does not blow.The test can be considered overRepair or replace the electrical wiring between the reversing switch and the engine compartment junction unit    See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS
7Turn the ignition key OFF.Connect a shunt cable with a fuse between switch Pin 2 (wiring side)    See I020 REVERSING LIGHTS SWITCH (GEARBOX BRIDGE)and the battery positive and check that the fuse of the shunt connection does not cut out.Move on to Step 9Move on to Step 8
8Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the reversing tail-light.Fit a new fuse in the shunt connection and check it does not cut out.Move on to Step 3Replace the reversing light    Op. 5550D24 REVERSING LIGHT - R+R
9Reconnect the wiring harness connector to Body Computer connector A and check that the shunt connection fuse does not cut out.Replace Body Computer    Op. 5505A32 BODY COMPUTER - R.R
10Replace the reversing switch    Op. 5550D22 REVERSING LIGHT SWITCH - R+R
