1Check whether any of the errors are present using the diagnostic equipment:

  • P2149 – Unit 2 injector control (injectors 2-3)
  • P2151 – Unit 2 injector control (injectors 2-3)
Move on to Step 21

2Turn the ignition key ON.Check that the voltage across Pin 2 (wiring side) of engine control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and injector 2    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
3Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the voltage across Pin 2 (wiring side) of engine control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and earth is greater than 500 kOhm. Continue to Step 7Move on to Step 4
4Disconnect the wiring harness connector from injector 2.Check that the voltage across Pin 2 (wiring side) of engine control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and Earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
5Check that the voltage across Pin 31 (wiring side) of engine control unit connector B    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and Earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and the injector    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT

10Check that the resistance across pins 1 and 2 (wiring side) of injector 2    See N070 INJECTOR is between 0.3 and 0.7 OhmsReplace the injector    Op. 1060F10 FUEL INJECTORS - R.R.
