STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDRESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel pressure sensor.Turn the ignition key ON.Select the following system on the diagnostic equipment: Diesel electronic injection control unit EDC16C39 CF4/EOBD CAN (EP engine 1.9).Check that error P0651 – Power supply to sensors 2 is “Present”.Move on to Step 5Move on to Step 2
2Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from engine control unit connector BTurn the ignition key ON.Check that the resistance across pin 43 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the fuel pressure sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
3Check that the resistance across pin 8 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the fuel pressure sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
4Replace the fuel pressure sensor    Op. 1060G28 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR ON FUEL MANIFOLD TO INJECTORS - R.R The test can be considered over
5Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the air temperature/pressure sensor.Turn the ignition key ON.Select the following system on the diagnostic equipment: Diesel electronic injection control unit EDC16C39 CF4/EOBD CAN (EP engine 1.9)Check that error P0651 – Power supply to sensors 2 is “Present”.Move on to Step 9Move on to Step 6

7Check that the resistance across pin 23 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the air pressure/temperature sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT

9Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the accelerator pedal potentiometerTurn the ignition key ON.Select the following system on the diagnostic equipment: Diesel electronic injection control unit EDC16C39 CF4/EOBD CAN (EP engine 1.9).Check that error P0651 – Power supply to sensors 2 is “Present”.Move on to Step 13Move on to Step 10
10Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the cable loom connector from control unit connector ATurn the ignition key ON.Check that the resistance across pin 31 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the accelerator pedal potentiometer and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT

14Turn the ignition key OFF.Check that the resistance between pin 28 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is more than 500 kOhm.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the fuel pressure sensor and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
15Disconnect the cable loom connector from control unit connector ATurn the ignition key ON.Check that the resistance across pin 46 (wiring side) of the control unit    See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU and the earth is greater than 0.3 V.Repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the accelerator pedal potentiometer and the engine control unit    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
