Removing ( Refitting )

If the injection-ignition system control unit is replaced, run the following self-learning procedure:- with the engine switched off, turn the ignition ON without pressing the accelerator pedal and with the engine temperature between 5.25°C and 100.5°C for 29 seconds.If the vehicle is equipped with a climate control systemthe following self-learning procedure must also be carried out:- activate the climate control system using the special button and operate the knob to select the second fan speed for 15 seconds.If the vehicle is equipped with a Cruise Control systemthe following self-learning procedure must also be carried out:- activate the system for a few seconds turning the switch on the control lever ON.

1. Disconnect the electrical connections for the injection/ignition system control unit.

2. Undo the nut and remove the earth lead. 1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the injection/ignition system control unit (1b). Refitting ( Removing ) - Fit the injection/ignition system control unit in its seat, fit the earth lead and tighten the nuts to the recommended torque.
