5. Undo the bolt and remove the engine block earth lead.

- Release the intermediate fastenings and remove the engine cable loom.- Loosen the bolts fixing the crankshaft pulley.1. Remove the auxiliary drivebelt.2. Undo the bolts (2a) loosened previously and remove the crankshaft pulley (2b).3. Undo the bolts (3a) and remove the timing side rigid engine support (3b).
1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the upper timing drive belt cover (1b).2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the lower timing drive belt cover (2b).
1. Loosen the nut retaining the timing drive belt moving tensioner.2. Remove the timing belt.
1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the engine oil dipstick tube (1b).
1. Loosen the band and disconnect the pipe from the oil vapour separator.2. Undo the upper bolt securing the intake manifold to the cylinder head.
1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the intake manifold (1b) from the cylinder head.2. Remove the ignition coils from their seats.
1. Undo the fastenings (1a) and remove the oil vapour separator (1b).
1. Fit the driven pulley/phase transformer locking tool.

1. Undo the protective caps for the bolts securing the camshaft housing to the cylinder head and the O-rings.2. Using the tool (2a), undo the bolts (2b) fixing the camshaft housing to the cylinder head.

3. Position the tool (3a) for retaining the tappets underneath the camshaft housing (3b) and remove it.

4. Remove the gasket between the camshaft housing and the cylinder head.
1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the timing drive belt inner guard (1b).
1. Undo the bolts (1a), remove the cylinder head (1b) and keep the gasket (1c).2. Remove the centering pins.
- Rotate the engine through 180° on the overhaul stand.1. Undo the bolts (1a) and the nuts (1b) fixing the engine oil sump to the crankcase.2. Using the tool, cut the silicone sealant along the entire perimeter of the engine oil sump.
