- Check the tyre tread is not worn.
Some types of tyre are fitted with wear gauges; they should be replaced as soon as these gauges are visible on the tread.
Do not swap tyres across.
- Check the tyre inflation pressure is correct. Also check the spare wheel.
The tyre pressures must be checked when they are cold.
- Check that the lighting system is operating correctly: headlamps, turn signals, hazard lights, luggage compartment lights, passenger compartment light and instrument panel warnings lights.- Check the windscreen wiper system is operating correctly and adjust the sprays if necessary.- Check the front and rear wiper blades are correctly positioned and not worn.- Check condition and wear on front disc brake pads and operation of pad wear indicator- Carry out a visual check of: exterior bodywork, underbody protection, rigid and flexible pipes (exhaust - fuel system - braking system) rubber elements (boots - hoses - bushes - etc.)- Check cleanliness of locks, bonnet and boot lids, cleanliness and lubrication of linkage- Check and if necessary adjust the handbrake lever travel; refer to    Op. 3380A04 HANDBRAKE - ADJUST TRAVEL - Check exhaust emissions; refer to    Op. 1080A10 IDLING C.O. LEVEL - CHECK WITH SPECIAL EQUIPMENT - Check evaporation control system.- Replace the spark plugs; refer to    Op. 5510D10 SPARK PLUGS - R+R
The following are vital in order to ensure correct operation and prevent serious damage to the engine:- only use spark plugs specifically certified for T-Jet engines which must be the same type and recommended make;- stick exactly to the replacement interval recommended in the Planned Maintenance Programme (every 30,000 km).
- Restore the brake-clutch fluid level; refer to    Op. 0010T64 BRAKE AND/OR CLUTCH FLUID CHECK LEVEL AND TOP UP AS NECESSARY - Restore the engine coolant level; refer to    Op. 0010T21 ENGINE COOLANT - CHECK DENSITY AND TOP UP, IF NECESSARY - Restore the battery fluid, windscreen washer fluid level, etc.- Check the operation of the engine control systems (using the diagnostic socket).- Change engine oil and oil filter (or every 24 months); refer to    Op. 0010T12 ENGINE OIL AND FILTER - REPLACE
If the vehicle is used mainly around town or the annual km is less than 10,000 km, the engine oil and engine oil filter must be changed every 12 months
- Replace the pollen filter (or every 24 months); refer to:    Op. 5010B09 PURIFYING (POLLEN) FILTER FILTER ELEMENT - REPLACE At the end of the service, connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the on board diagnostic socket to zero the mileage counter for the days to the starting value and write the details of the service that has been carried out (date, service no., total mileage) in the Trip Computer memory which can only be read using the diagnostic equipment.
Check that the figure has been set in the instrument panel in km or miles depending on the unit of measurement in that country.
