199004929 - 1056BW Check on the throttle body actuator operation

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Manual check on motorized throttle operation

  • Turn the ignition key to the OFF position
  • Using a finger, place the throttle valve in the fully open position and check that it moves evenly.
  • Remove your finger from the throttle valve (1) and check that it returns to its preset position (with a valve opening of 7° (2) in relation to the completely closed position, moving evenly thanks to the return spring and the opening spring).
  • Using a finger, place the throttle valve in the fully closed position and check that it moves evenly, remove your finger and check that it returns to its normal preset position
Move on to Step 2
Replace the motorized throttle    Op. 1056B14 THROTTLE CASE - R + R
2Check on motorized throttle operation

  • Turn the key to the ON position
  • Gradually press the accelerator pedal and check that the throttle valve moves evenly until it is completely open
  • Release the accelerator pedal and check that the throttle valve returns to its preset position
Move on to Step 3
3Throttle actuator resistance check

  • Turn the ignition key to the OFF position
  • Disconnect the motorized throttle connector
  • Using an Examiner in ohmmeter mode, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the throttle actuator and check that the resistance is about 3 ohm ± 20 % at 20°C
