Before carrying out the test, check that all the courtesy lights are off and all the vehicle electrical loads being examined are switched off and that the power latch stage of the engine management control unit is over.

STEP	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	REMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1	No load absorption checkDisconnect the negative battery lead and replace it with the terminal for sensor EX-03 (1) using the EX-01 adaptor cableConnect the sensor to the Examiner and check that the maximum absorption is not more than 36 mA.	Check for any dispersions in the system or identify any consumers that are losing current
