- If this adjustment is also not sufficient, adjust the position of the tailgate hinges as described below.- Remove the rear parcel shelf and lower the rear seat backrests.1. Working on both sides of the vehicle, undo the bolts (1a) and move the rear pillar trims (1b) aside releasing them from the retainers (1c).
