- Move the left front seat as far forward as necessary.- Raise the right cushion.1. Using the handle (1a), release the right backrest (1b) and rotate it downwards through half its travel (about 45°).
1. Release the backrest side retainer (1a) from the housing (1b), then release the housing (1c) from the pin (1d).2. Keep the right backrest.
Refitting

- Check that the right backrest is not damaged.1. Check that the bush (1a) is fitted in place.2. Position the right backrest and fit the housing (1b) on the pin (1c), then attach the side retainer (1d) in the housing in the bodyshell.
- Lift up the backrest and attach it to the striker.- Check that the backrest is correctly attached to the striker.- Lower the right cushion.- Place the left front seat in the middle position.

- Move the left front seat as far forward as necessary.- Raise the right cushion.1. Using the handle (1a), release the right backrest (1b) and rotate it downwards through half its travel (about 45°).
