Refitting

1. Lower the steering wheel position fastening lever to the end of its travel.2. Unscrew the lower steering column trim bolts.3. Remove the lower steering column trim (3a) by undoing the internal retainer (3b).
1. Insert the ignition key and turn ON.2. Use a screwdriver to push in the barrel retaining detent.3. Use the ignition key to withdraw the key barrel from the ignition.
1. Remove the retaining ring in the rear part of the switch barrel.
1. Press lever (1a) to insert the parking lights and turn the key to allow pin (1b) to position itself in the slot.
1. Partly extract the key from the barrel to allow lock (1a) to lower and pass through the slot, then remove the key barrel (1b).
Refitting

- Check that the lock barrel for the key is not damaged.1. Insert the key in the barrel to the end of its travel. Partly remove the key from the barrel to allow lock (1a) to lower and insert the barrel with key in seat (1b).
- Fit the retaining ring in the rear part of the switch barrel.- Turn the ignition key ON.- Fit the barrel in the ignition switch and fit the retaining detent in the seat.- Test the operation of the barrel (electrical system and steering lock).- Extract the ignition key.- Position the lower steering column trim and do up the inner retainer.- Tighten the lower steering column trim bolts.- Move the steering wheel into intermediate position and secure with the lever.
