199002902 - B0107 Passenger pretens. resist.

To apply this procedure, the following must be borne in mind:1 - Measurements cannot be taken on the Air Bag wiring.2 - The system fault diagnosis is started leaving the vehicle charges connected.3- The fault should be "Present" or "Present Intermittently" and not "Intermittent". If the fault is Intermittent then the Procedure is not applicable; proceed with an accurate check on the line where the fault was signalled.4 - Not all the simulation sensors are available (e.g. side impact sensors).
The airbag fault warning light is controlled by a dedicated connection to the airbag control unit Instrument Panel Node.
The Air Bag wiring is a safety component. If there are problems with the cables or the connectors then the wiring should be replaced in one piece.

1ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Turn the ignition key OFF. Check the connector on the control unit is correctly connected    See E7030 AIRBAG Move on to Step 2The connector is not correctly connectedReconnect the connector correctly    See E7030 AIRBAG Delete the errors using the diagnostic equipment and move on to Step 4
2PRETENSIONER CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Disconnect the faulty pretensioner from the wiring and connect the simulation resistance in its place    See E7030 AIRBAG Turn the ignition key ON and activate communication with the diagnostic tester.
