The heat shield for the front exhaust silencer comes in two parts, one front and one rear.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.Rear heat shield1. Undo the nut securing the flexible mounting support to the body.2. Undo the toothed clips (2a) and remove the rear heat shield (2b).

Front heat shield1. Undo the bolts (1a) and the toothed clips (1b) and remove the front heat shield (2c).

Lower the heat shield carefully as the four centre bolts also secure the gear lever mounting.

Refitting ( Removing

) Front heat shield- Place the front heat shield in position and secure it using the bolts to the bodyshell and to the gearbox manual control lever support.- Tighten the toothed clips securing the front heat shield to the body.Rear heat shield- Place the rear heat shield back in its housing and tighten it it using the fastenings.- Tighten the nut securing the flexible mounting support to the body.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
