The supply for the body computer M01 is both controlled by the ignition and direct to pin 11 of connector E (INT) and pin A of connector C of the junction unit under the dashboard B02 .There is a protective fuse F1 for the direct supply located in the engine compartment junction unit B01 .These lines also supply the instrument panel and split inside the junction unit under the dashboard B02 (MAXIFUSE). The lines are protected by fuses F37 and F53.Pins 8 and 9 connector D of the body computer M01 are connected to earth. This reference signal is also supplied to the panel via pin 36 of connector F of the body computer.Pins 4 and 5 of connector C of the body computer M01 are connected by two cables to the aerial P91 , fitted coaxially on the ignition switch, in order to detect the insertion and the rotation of a key with a transponder. The body computer M01 communicates with the engine management control unit M10 via pins 36 and 37 (CAN line) connector C of the body computer and pins 36 and 52 of connector A of the engine management control unit (for the 1596 16v BIPOWER version, pin 6 and 32 connector A). The recognition of the key and the exchange of codes takes place through this line. The engine management control unit M10 sends a diagnostic signal (K line) from pin 10 connector A (for the 1596 16v BIPOWER version, pin 25 connector A) to pin 20 connector C of the body computer. The diagnostic line is connected to pin 7 connector B of the body computer M01 . The autodiagnostic system also produces a signal for the display of the ''EOBD and engine management system failure'' and ''vehicle protection system failure'' warning lights located in the instrument panel E50 at the intake for pins 8 and 9 connector A.
