223001491 - E2012 MAIN BEAM HEADLIGHTS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION (MY 2005)

The main beams are activated by an earth signal from stalk unit H05 when the wheel is operated which reaches the body computer M01 at pin 33 connector F.To switch the main beam headlamps on the body computer activates the relay R2 housed in the engine compartment junction unit B01 from pin 9 connector C. Another activation signal reaches relay R2 at the same time coming from the ignition switch H01 and entering pin 30 connector B of the engine compartment junction unit B01.The latter receives a power supply directly from pin 1 connector A and sends it to the left and right headlamps at the outlets for pins 22 and 25 of connector B respectively. Each line is protected by a fuse in the engine compartment junction unit B01: F15 for the left headlamp, F14 for the right. The body computer M01 also controls the switching on of the warning light in the instrument panel E50.The body computer may be supplied via pin 11 connector E (ignition controlled power supply) and pin A connector C (direct power supply) of junction unit B02.There is a protective fuse F1 for the direct power supply located in the engine compartment junction unit B01.These lines also supply the instrument panel E50 via two lines protected by fuses F37 and F53.Pins 8 and 9 of connector D of the body computer are earthed.
