) Position the car on the ramp.Carry out Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R.1. Undo the nut (1a) and loosen the collar securing the exhaust pipe to the catalyzer (1b).2. Release the exhaust pipe from the flexible mountings and disconnect the pipe from the catalyzer.

1. Do not distort the front flexible pipe beyond the angular value X = 20 angular; and the cutting value Y = 25 mm.

The front flexible pipe should be protected against all mechanial aggression from the outside. It should never come into contact with corrosive products; the front flexible pipe should suffer no distortion when it is in position.

Failure to follow these precautions means that the life of the front flexible pipe will be shortened; separating or dismantling the exhaust line is compulsory for operations requiring the power unit to be lifted.

Position a hydraulic jack under the gearbox and discharge the weight of the power unit.1. Undo the bolt fixing the power unit lower reaction rod to the front suspension crossmember.2. Undo the bolt fixing the lower reaction rod for the gearbox side power unit assembly.

To extract the bolt, rotate it manually, pushing the power unit slightly forwards.

Take care not to force the exhaust pipe flexible coupling and do not affect the flexible mountings.3. Remove the lower reaction rod for the power unit.

Refitting ( Removing

) Place the power unit lower reaction rod back in its housing and fix it to the gearbox using the bolt without tightening it.

To fi the above bolt the power unit must be rotated manually, pushing it slightly forwards, without affecting the flexible mountings.

Faste the power unit lower reaction rod to the front suspension crossmember without tightening the bolt.1. Tighten the bolt (1a) and the bolt (1b) securing the power unit lower reaction rod to the specified torque.

Remove the hydraulic jack from under the gearbox.Connect the exhaust pipe to the catalyzer, taking care not to distort the flexible section.Tighten the nut for the collar securing the pipe to the catalyzer.Position the flexible mountings in the exhaust pipe mounting points.Carry out Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R.Remove the car from the ramps.
