) Position the vehicle on a lift.Carry out Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R..1. Disconnect the lower radiator coolant outlet hose, radiator side.

Manually press the clips and withdraw the hose rapid connector. Collect the coolant in a suitable container.

Carry out Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R.Carry out Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R..1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the air flow meter.

2. Loosen the collar and disconnect the air intake sleeve to the turbocharger, air flow meter side.

1. Loosen the band (1a) and disconnect the hose (1b) from the air intake.2. Remove the air filter (2a) complete with air flow meter (2b) releasing it firstly from the pegs underneath and then from the rear fastening.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the rigid engine oil vapour recovery pipe.2. Loosen the band and disconnect the flexible engine oil vapour recircuation pipe from the rigid pipe.

1. Undo the bolt securing the engine oil heat exchanger coolant supply pipe to the engine block.2. Unscrew bolts (2a) and disconnect the engine oil heat exchanger coolant supply pipe (2b), engine oil heat exchanger side with seal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2. Disconnect the rapid connector for thecoolant return pipe from the engine coolant reservoir, thermostat side.3. Loosen the band and disconnect the upper coolant inlet hose to the radiator, thermostat side.4. Loosen the band and disconnect the coolant supply pipe to the engine oil heat exchanger, thermostat side.5. Loosen the band and disconnect the coolant supply pipe to the coolant/exhaust gas heat exchanger for the EGR system, thermostat side.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the thermostat (1b) complete with O-ring.

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Place the thermostat (1a) in its housing with the O-ring and secure it by tightening the bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

Connect the coolant delivery pipe to the coolant/exhaust gas heat exchanger for the EGR system, thermostat side and tighten the collar.Connect the coolant supply pipe to the engine oil heat exchanger, thermostat side, and tighten the band.Connect the upper coolant input sleeve to the radiator, thermostat side, and tighten the band.Connect the rapid connector for the coolant return pipe from the engine coolant reservoir, thermostat side.Connect the electrical connection to the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Connect the coolant delivery pipe to the engine oil heat exchanger, exchanger side with seal, then tighten the bolts.

Fold over the gasket safety tabs.

Tighten the bolt securing the pipe carrying coolant to the engine oil heat exchanger to the crankcase.Connect the engine oil vapour recirculation hose to the rigid pipe and tighten the band.Tighten the bolts fixing the rigid engine oil vapour recovery pipe.Position the air filter in its seat with the air flow meter, secure to the rear fastening and then to the underlying pins.Connect the flexible sleeve to the air intake on the crossmember and tighten the retaining collar.Connect the air intake sleeve to the turbocharger, air flow meter side, and tighten the collar.Connect the electrical connection to the air flow meter.
