Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Open the bonnet.1. Working from the left side of the engine, unscrew the upper starter motor bolt. - Raise the vehicle.1. Open the protective cover for the starter motor electrical connections.2. Undo the nut.3. Disconnect the electrical connections (3a, 3b) from the starter motor.

4. Unscrew the lower starter motor bolt.5. Remove the starter motor. Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the starter motor is not damaged.1. Place the starter motor in position.2. Screw in the lower starter motor bolt and tighten to the recommended torque.

3. Connect the electrical connections for the starter motor, tighten the nut and close the protective cover.

- Lower the vehicle.1. Screw in the upper starter motor bolt.

- Close the bonnet.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
