223001928 - E3030 DEMISTING REARSCREEN AND REAR VIEW MIRRORS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION (MY 2005)

The heated rear windscreen and door mirror defrosting activation signal consists of an earth signal coming from switch unit H90 entering pin 32 of connector F of the body computer M01.The ideogram for switch H90 is lit up by an ignition operated power supply (INT) at pin 6 by means of a line protected by fuse F49 of the junction unit under the dashboard B02.In order to activate the defrosting of the rearscreen and the door mirrors the body computer M01 receives a signal, not only from switch H90, but also from the speedometer sensor K84 via pin 17 connector C. If necessary, it then energizes relay R11 located in the junction unit under the dashboard B02.Once energized, relay R11 supplies: the left heated rear windscreen P54 and the right heated rear windscreen P53 via fuse F40, the left P60 and Right P61 mirrors via fuse F41.Once the function is activated, the body computer M01 lights up the warning light in the instrument panel E50 from pins 6 and 5 connector D of the actual body computer. The body computer may be supplied via pin 11 connector E (ignition-controlled supply) and pin A connector C (direct supply) of the junction unit B02.There is a proective fuse F1 for the direct power supply located in the junction unit B01.These lines also supply the instrument panel E50 via two lines protected by fuses F37 (pin 1 connector A) and F53 (pin 3 connector A; for the Natural Power version, pin 2 connector A).Pins 8 and 9 of connector D of the body computer are earthed.
