Functional description

When reverse gear is engaged, the positive signal for switching on the rear lights (    See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS) passes through the short circuit coupling D97A . The positive supply for the parking sensor control unit M84 reaches pin 1 of connector A from pin 10 of D97A. The negative supply for the control unit M84 reaches pin 8 of connector A from the dashboard earth C15C in the rear wiring.The parking sensor speaker P44 receives signals from pins 2 and 10 of connector A for the parking control unit M84 ; pins 9 and 6 of the same connector, on the other hand, are bridged.

The four parking sensors K97 are connected to connector B of the control unit M84, respectively:

• to pins 5, 9, 12 left exterior rear sensor K97A;
• to pins 3, 7, 10 left interior rear sensor K97B;
• to pins 1, 2, 6 right interior rear sensor K97C;
• to pins 4, 8, 11 right exterior rear sensor K97D.
