223000282 - E5010 STARTING AND RECHARING - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Functional description

A line (50) leaves the ignition switch H01 from pin 3 connector A coming directly from the battery. With the ignition key in the (AVV) position, the starter motor A20 solenoid winding is supplied at pin C.Pin A of the starter motor receives the voltage coming directly from the battery A01 connector B.The direct current produced by the alternator A10 (pin B+) is sent to recharge the battery A01 , passing through the motor A20 pin B. When the alternator does not turn and therefore does not recharge the battery, it sends an earth signal from pin D+ to the body computer M01 pin 19 of connector C. This controls the lighting up of the ''battery recharging'' warning light in the instrument panel E50 from pins 5 and 6 of connector D (CAN line). When the engine has been started up, this signal becomes 12 V and the warning light therefore goes out.The body computer and the instrument panel communicate with one another via pins 5 and 6 connector D of the computer and pins 9 and 8 connector A of the panel. The body computer can be supplied via pin 11 connector E (supply controlled by the ignition) and pin A connector C (direct supply) of the junction unit B02 . There is a protective fuse F1 for the direct supply located in the junction unit B01 .These lines also supply the instrument panel E50 via two lines protected by fuses F37 and F53 of junction unit B02 and enter the panel at pins 1 and 3 connector A.Pins 8 and 9 connector D of the body computer are connected to earth.
