223001615 - E2030 FOG LIGHTS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION (MY 2005)
The foglamp activation signal takes the form of an earth signal from switch unit H90 entering at pin 20 of connector E of body computer M01. In the presence of a side light signal (pin 2 of connector E of junction unit B02), H90 receives a power supply to light the panel via a line protected by fuse 49 of under-dashboard junction unit B02 from ignition-operated line (INT).With a side light signal and switch H90 closed, body computer M01 sends an earth signal that activates relay R14 in engine compartment junction unit B01 via the body computer outlet at pin 8 connector C. Simultaneously, body computer M01 also controls the fog lamp on warning light in instrument panel E50.Relay R14 is supplied from the ignition-operated line (15/54) and its output supplies the two foglamps in the appropriate headlamps: left F15 and right F16, respectively from pins 4 and 5 of connector B of engine compartment junction unit B01.The body computer may be supplied via pin 11 connector E (ignition-operated supply) and pin A connector C (direct power supply) of junction unit B02. The direct power supply is protected by fuse F1 in junction unit B01.These lines also supply control panel E50 via two lines protected by fuses F37 and F53.Pins 8 and 9 of connector E of the body computer are earthed.
