Removing ( Refitting ) Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal (-).

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the fuel filter assembly (1b). 1. Disconnect the electrical connections from the starter motor.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the starter motor (2b). Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Place the starter motor (1a) in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

The upper starter motor bolts also secure an electrical wiring bracket.

2. Connect the electrical connections to the starter motor. Place the fuel filter back in its housing and fasten it using the nuts.Connect the negative battery terminal (-).
