2585359 - 5040BA Check operation of 4 stage pressure switch
Basic operationCheck 1st stage (approx. 2.5 bar):Disconnect the pressure switch from its pipe 5040B14 air conditioner system multi-level pressure switch - r+rDisconnect pressure switch electrical connection and ensure that the circuit is open between pins 1 and 2Disconnect pressure switch from the pipe and check for breaks in the circuit between pins 1 and 2Reconnect the electrical connection of the pressure switch and start up the air conditioner.Wait a few minutes, making sure that the compressor switches on normally. The calibration of the 1st stage is: contact opens 2.1-2.8 bar and contact closes 2.3 - 2.9 bar.Check 2nd level (approx. 15 bar):Operate the system with the car at a standstill. Wait a few minutes; the contact between pins 3 and 4 should close. At the same time make sure that the fan comes on at the first speed.2nd level setting is: contact closes 14.2 - 16.2 bar, contact opens 10.3 - 12.3 bar. Checking 3rd level (approx. 20 bar):Again operate the system with the car at a standstill. Wait a few minutes. Contact between pins 4 and 6 closes At the same time make sure that the fan changes from the first to the second speed.3rd level setting is: contact closed 18.8 - 21.2 bar, contact open 13.8 - 18.2 bar.Check 4th level (approx. 28 bar):It is advisable not to allow the pressure of the circuit to increase to that value, which is too close to the safety limits. If the system should reach this level, the contact between pins 1 and 2 would open. The calibration of this level cannot therefore be checked on the car. |
