223001883 - E3021 REAR WINDOW WASH/WIPE - DESCRIPTION

Description

The rearscreen wiper is operated by turning the ring nut on the end of the lever located on the right of the steering wheel. This allows the rear wiper to work intermittently.By pushing the lever gently towards the steering wheel (unstable position) the rearscreen washer function is activated; the same pump is used as for the windscreen washer, but it rotates in the opposite direction and sends the detergent fluid to the rear.If the lever is kept pressed, the rearscreen wiper comes on and operates for a few strokes after the lever is released. The rearscreen wiper can only be operated with the ignition switched ON.The windscreen wash/wipe circuit is protected by a specific fuse and is operated by a relay (which also controls the windscreen wash/wipe circuit) both located in the junction unit under the dashboard. The rearscreen wiper is regulated by a device inside the stalk unit.
